Inspired by Bengali cuisine
Our story began back in 1988, when Refayet opened restaurant Mandira on Apelbergsgatan in central Stockholm.
It wasn’t long before it became one of Stockholm’s most talked about restaurants and the restaurant eventually received several awards.
Mandira was sold after a few years and a new venture under the name Little India took place.

At Little India, we want to create a great place to hang out at all hours of the day – whether you are on the go or just want to relax for a while.
We want to treat you like a friend or family member, as it is important for us to connect the familiar and social aspects of our food culture with the Scandinavian lifestyle.
Our inspiration comes from Bengali cuisine and the food we cook is deeply influenced by the food we ate growing up.
It is important for us to work with the best quality ingredients and to constantly find new exciting flavor combinations.
